Well now, friends, dust off those boots, starch those cravats, and get ready for another year full of history, camaraderie, and good old-fashioned storytelling. Below, you’ll find the schedule for the upcoming year—some events are “MAX EFFORT,” meaning we need all possible SCAR hands on deck, while others are fine opportunities to get together, learn a little, and share our passion for history. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see y’all out there!

 

March 2026
March 6–8 | Fort Macon – Atlantic Beach, NC. A US Progressive event organized by the Broken Toys crew.

March 27–29 | Gamble’s Hotel – Florence, SC. A CS/Civilian event hosted by Kenneth Robison — longtime SCAR members may remember it as “The Columns.”
 

April 2026
April 11 | High Falls Spring Festival – Clemson, SC. A civilian 1850s event — SCAR has been personally invited to participate. More info: cwscarfamily@hotmail.com

April 25–26 | Confederate Memorial Park – Marbury, AL. A civilian Confederate Memorial Day event. Limited numbers. More info: cwscarfamily@hotmail.com
 

May 2026
May 2 | Eppington Plantation – Chesterfield, VA. A civilian 1850s progressive event. More info: cwscarfamily@hotmail.com
 

June 2026
June 19–21 | Batteaux and Banjos (MAX EFFORT) – Gladstone, VA. A beloved civilian progressive event along the James River. All SCAR hands on deck!

July 2026
July 17–19 | 165th Manassas Civilians (MAX EFFORT) – Manassas, VA. A civilian progressive event commemorating the 165th anniversary. SCAR is the main effort for this on the ORIGINAL battlefield.
 

October 2026
October 7–11 | On Our Own Soil (MAX EFFORT) – West Virginia. SCAR is sponsoring Company H, 20th VA Dismounted Cavalry at this fully immersive CS progressive event.

October 17 | Pioneer Farm Days (MAX EFFORT) – Greenville, SC. A down-home civilian progressive event celebrating the farming traditions that shaped our nation. We’ll be there to bring history to life, one story at a time. More info: cwscarfamily@hotmail.com
 

November 2026
November 7 | Under the Ancient Oaks (MAX EFFORT) – Bluffton, SC. A beautiful 1850s civilian living history event. This is one of those moments where time truly slows down, and the past feels just within reach.
 

December 2026
December 12 | Christmastide Charleston – Charleston, SC. We’ll close out the year in the Holy City with a festive caroling celebration of 19th-century Christmas customs. Note: First come-first served (14 people max, quality 1860 civilian impressions only). More info: cwscarfamily@hotmail.com
