Well now, friends, dust off those boots, starch those cravats, and get ready for another year full of history, camaraderie, and good old-fashioned storytelling. Below, you’ll find the schedule for the upcoming year—some events are "MAX EFFORT," meaning we need all SCAR hands on deck, while others are fine opportunities to get together, learn a little, and share our passion for history. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see y’all out there!
March 2025
March 1-2 | Broxton’s Bridge 160th – The Citadel Cadet camp is setting up once again! Step back to 1865 as we bring the past to life in honor of this historic engagement.
March 15-16 | Bentonville 160th (MAX EFFORT) – Calling all Confederate General’s Staff members and Tarheel Civilians! We need our best and brightest for this one—this will be a big event, so bring your A-game!
April 2025
April 5-6 | Sailor’s Creek (MAX EFFORT) – The 10th Virginia Heavy Artillery is taking the field, along with a powerful civilian refugee presence.
April 12 | “A Lavish Affair” (MAX EFFORT) – Time to trade our muskets for aprons as we step into the role of cook team and scullery maids. This event promises to be an elegant display of mid-19th century dining and domestic life.
May 2025
May 17 | Eastern Carolina Farm Village – A quiet but important gathering where we’ll showcase rural life in the 19th century. Perfect for storytelling and hands-on demonstrations!
June 2025
June 13-16 | Batteaux and Banjos 1850s Summer Camp Meet (MAX EFFORT) – Nothing says summer like an 1850s-style riverside retreat. Expect banjos, batteaux, and plenty of good company!
August 2025
August 2-3 | Corsets and Cravats – Time to brush up on mid-19th century fashion and etiquette! This is a great event for both newcomers and seasoned reenactors to deepen their knowledge of period dress and culture.
August 9-10 | Nine Hours in Hell – A battlefield experience like no other. This one isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for an immersive challenge, you won’t want to miss it.
September 2025
September 20 | Overland South Living History – Another fine chance to educate the public and share the past through storytelling, demonstrations, and good conversation.
September 27 | Malcolm Blue Festival (MAX EFFORT) – One of our most anticipated events! Expect big crowds, lively music, and plenty of hands-on history for visitors of all ages.
October 2025
October 18 | Pioneer Farm Days, Greenville, SC (MAX EFFORT) – A down-home event celebrating the farming traditions that shaped our nation. We’ll be there to bring history to life, one story at a time.
November 2025
November 8 | Under the Ancient Oaks (MAX EFFORT) – A beautiful 1850s civilian living history event set in Bluffton, SC. This is one of those moments where time truly slows down, and the past feels just within reach.
December 2025
December 6-9 | Mulberry Hill (MAX EFFORT) – A grand multi-day event full of living history, fellowship, and period holiday traditions.
December 13 | Christmastide Charleston – We’ll close out the year in the Holy City with a festive caroling celebration of 19th-century Christmas customs.
That about wraps it up, folks! Whether you’re a seasoned reenactor or just getting started, we welcome you to join us on this journey through history. Be sure to dust off your kit, pack your haversack, and get ready to step back in time—one event at a time.
Looking forward to seeing y’all in the field!
